Angelo Almendarez

Angelo Jerome Almendarez, 42, son of David and Mary Lou Almendarez, was born on May 15, 1976 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He attended Fort Stockton High School and was a graduate of FSHS Class of 1994. Jerome attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He was a very dedicated and loyal employee. He enjoyed working for Caprock Midstream and working with his colleagues.

Jerome enjoyed his time on the golf course with family and friends, spoiling his dachshund Duck, and traveling. To him, family was more than just a word. It meant love, hope and togetherness. As a result of his generous spirit and amazing personality, he was loved by many. His Christian life was a refreshing ray of sun, and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He was taken suddenly on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 while at Medical City Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Della Munoz, Trine Almendarez and Carmen Gutierrez; grandfathers Mike Y. Munoz and Victor Almendarez; and aunts Vera Sue Munoz, Jessie Fernandez and Maria Jaquez.

His vibrant life will forever be cherished in the lives of: David and Mary Lou (Munoz) Almendarez; sister Vanessa and husband Joe Crowley; nephews and nieces, Jonas, Hannah, Logan and Eli; a host of devoted aunts and uncles; many cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him; and friends too many to list.

The Pallbearers are: Jonas Beech, Logan Beech, Isaac Gonzales, Gabe Casas, Hector Salmon Jr., Mike Hernandez, Joey Jacquez, and Osazee Eguae.

The Honorary Pallbearers are: Larry Gonzales, Mike Forbau, Henry Casas, Randy Aguilar, Ector Almendarez, Mike Munoz Jr., Joseph Crowley, and Derrick Hoover.

The visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Fort Stockton High School Auditorium on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial Service to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
