Aurora Subia Riojaz went to be with our Lord in Heaven on February 9, 2020. She was born on April 26, 1934 to Jose Subia and Maria Fuentes.
Aurora was a very loving and caring woman. She never met a stranger and adopted everyone as a part of the family. Aurora was the matriarch of her family and dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was known for her delicious desserts, especially her carrot cake. She loved coffee and drank a cup all day long and into the evening. Her favorite treat was ice cream, any flavor would do. She leaves us with the gift of memories knowing that we were a part of a well-lived life. Tears cleanse. Memories comfort. Love lives on forever!
Aurora is preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel M. Riojaz. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Delma Valenzuela, her son-in-law, Johnny Valenzuela, her son, Manuel Riojaz Jr., her grandson, Paul Alan Cozby.
Aurora is survived by her sons, Saul Riojas and wife Delma of Georgetown, Michael Riojaz and wife Christie of Cuero; her daughters, Irma Watson and husband Howard of Frisco, Olga Cozby and husband Lynn of San Angelo, Hilda Noriega and husband Ernest of Hutto, Melissa Mallory and husband Chris of Round Rock; her sisters Alicia Castelo, Alvina Porras, Amelia Casas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren.
