Bernie C. Lannom of Fort Stockton passed away Saturday February 11th, 2017, in Fort Stockton at the age of 98 years. Bernie was born on August 28, 1918, to C. W. and Jessie Lannom in Leon Farms, Texas.
Bernie was honorably discharged from the army. He was a part of the Fort Stockton Fire Department from 1939 to 1947 and the Davis Mountain Fire Department. He was owner and operator of Mobile Service Station on east Dickinson Blvd from 1952 to 1977, when he and Adelia retired to Fort Davis, then they returned to Fort Stockton in 2005. He was a member of Davis Mountain Community Church and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Stockton.
Bernie is survived by his wife, Adelia Lannom; his sons, Tony Lannom and wife Dianna, Donald Lannom and wife Loraine; his daughter, Althea Armstrong and husband Roy; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bernie is preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings.
Graveside service will be on Sunday, February 12th, 2017, at 5pm at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas. Clint Lannom will be officiating.
