Canuta Dominguez

An obituary written by her grandchildren:

Canuta Celaya Dominguez of Fort Stockton Texas, died on January 16th 2018 at the age of 86, but the love she expressed to all and the boldness of her laughter will remain in our hearts.

Her spirit is carried on by her devoted husband, Roberto Dominguez, 4 children Juan Dominguez and wife Elsa Dominguez of Belton, TX, Margaret Rangel and husband Remigio Rangel of Midland, TX, Oscar Dominguez and wife Lisa Dominguez of Fort Stockton, TX, Victor Dominguez and wife Tabitha Dominguez of Pearland TX, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 6 surviving siblings Nasario Celaya of Fort Stockton, TX, Lucas Celaya of Fort Stockton, TX, Chon Celaya of Odessa, TX, Lupe Gonzales of Fort Stockton, TX, Margarita Celaya of Fort Stockton, TX, Lucy Scott of Odessa, TX, nieces and nephews, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.

Canuta was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Margarita Celaya, her siblings, Julia Escareno, Camilo Celaya, Ramon Celaya, Gonzalo Celaya, and Petra Celaya.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Grandma during her 86 years, among them are: always "be nice, girl", family unity, bean and cheese burritos are the perfect combination, be god fearing, perms will always be in style, love unconditionally, and if The Twist plays, dance.

Let a grandchild (or two or three) share your bed, there's always enough room and food at the table, and send loved ones away with a blessing. Those who have taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure a life full of loud laughter, joy and undying love for all.

Visitation will be January 18th , 2018 from 1pm-8pm and January 19th from 10am - 7pm The Rosary will be recited at 7pm on January 19th, 2018 at the Heritage Funeral Home, in Fort Stockton, TX. Celebration of Life will be held on January 20th, 2018 beginning at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, TX. Burial will follow at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
