Cecelia Gonzalez

Cecilia R. Gonzalez peacefully entered into her eternal rest with our Lord on January 21, 2017 at the age of 93. Cecilia had a deep and abiding faith that sustained through every hardship and motivated her to be a devoted wife and mother, a favorite Tia and madrina, and Grandmother and Friend. She was the eldest of six children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albertano Gonzalez; parents, Eulalio and Maria Rodriguez; brother, Raymundo Rodriguez (Nuno) and wife, Barbara. She is survived her children Ninfa Molina (Robert), Jaime Gonzalez (Delma), Albert Gonzalez (Eva) and Paul Gonzalez (Daniela); brothers, Salvador Rodriguez, Eulalio Rodriguez, Jr. (Landa), Leopoldo Rodriguez, and Angel Rodriguez (Minnie); as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cecilia was a dedicated employee of Fort Stockton Independent School District and enjoyed spending time baking (biscochos), knitting, crocheting and sewing. She will always be remembered, loved, and a matriarch of this large family. She will be greatly missed.
The best descriptive phrase for mom is: "La casa no descansa en la tierra sino en la mujer".
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017, from 11am to 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. The rosary will start at 7pm on Wednesday, January 25th. Funeral service will begin at 10am on January 26th, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
