Charles Elmo McIntyre Jr. of Fort Stockton passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the age of 76. For his entire life, Mr. McIntyre was a rancher in Fort Stockton. He also worked as an electrical contractor. Charley was born in Fort Stockton on July 24, 1938. His parents were C. E. Pete McIntyre and Kennie Noelke Harkey McIntyre. On August 23, 1957, Charley married his sweetheart Roslyn and they have been together for 57 years. Charley took pleasure in roping, hunting, benchrest shooting and dancing.
Charley is survived by his wife Roslyn son, Charles III and wife Susan of Midland, Texas daughter Dina Campbell and husband Brent of Woodbridge, VA brother, George McIntyre sisters Maudie Salmon and husband Tom of Georgetown, Texas and Sandy McIntyre of Fort Stockton 3 grandchildren, Tyler K. Campbell wife Stephanie of Woodbridge, VA, Cash and Ava McIntyre of Midland greatgrandson Gabriel A. Campbell of Woodbridge, VA niece Kenni Jo Mendoza and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Charley was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. Pete McIntyre and Kennie McIntyre brother Henry McIntyre and sister Debbie McIntyre.
Visitation will take place from 68:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a graveside service celebrating Charleys life at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton on Sunday, December 14, at 1:00 P.M. under the direction of Chaplain Clay Porter.
The family expresses special thanks to Nurse Practitioner Barbara Norris and all of Charleys caregivers at the Courtyards at Parks Methodist and Compass Hospice, including Chaplain Clay Porter, and to Charleys special caregiver, Kenni Jo Mendoza.
