Cindy (Cynthia) Faye Hardy, formerly of Fort Stockton and daughter of the late Fred and Mary Hardy, passes away at her home in Beaumont, Texas on June 7, 2018 at the age of 58.

Cindy was born on October 20, 1959, in Fort Stockton, and lived in Fort Stockton until the early 1980's when she moved to Alamosa, New Mexico. Her life took her to various other locations until she settled in Woodville, Texas, with her mother. After the death of her mother she went to live with her daughter Kim, in Beaumont, Texas.

Cindy graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1978. While in high school she excelled at swimming and played the flute in the high school band. She received her LOV from Sul Ross University in Alpine. She also worked with the Alpine chapter of Women's Aglow, leading the song service. At the time of her death, she was enrolled as a student in Rhema Bible Training College Correspondence Courses.

Cindy faced the many challenges in her life with courage and optimism and endured hardships with patience, always able to maintain her joy. She was an inspiration and her smile and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who know her best.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Hardy, sister, Debbie Turman, grandmother, Ethel Caffey and aunt, Freda McFadden.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Hardy of Beaumont (Eric), brother-in-law, Matt Turman of Fort Stockton, cousins Tommy Turman of Houston, Joey Truman of San Antonio, Bruce McFadden (Becky) and their children, Blake and Brady of Kerrville, uncle Bill, special friends, Vicki McKissack of Fort Stockton, Jynette Suggs, formerly of Fort Stockton, and her family, and Peggy Shuttleworth Corbett of Fort Stockton.

Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5 to 7 at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at East Hill Cemetery at 10:00 am.
