David Ramirez Nunez Sr. of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday April 30th, 2017, in Midland at the age of 84 years. David was born on June 24, 1932, to Juan and Celerina Ramirez Nunez in Fort Stockton, Texas.
David was a Korean War Veteran and the Monarch for the Nunez family. He was self-employed for over fifty years at Nunez Construction. He was on the GI forum. He was also a Parishioner at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
David is survived by his wife, Otilia Franco Nunez of Fort Stockton; his sons, David Nunez Jr. and wife Diana of Victoria, Roy Nunez of Fort Stockton; his daughter, Priscilla Nunez-Contreras and husband Arturo of Odessa; his sister, Yolanda Moreno and husband Richard of Lubbock; his Sister-in-law, Connie Nunez of Rowlett; his grandchildren, Erica Baiza-Ornelas, Kristi Hoesck, Adam Nunez, Jessica Nunez, Cassandra Nunez-Cherry, Roy Rogelio Nunez, Celina Baiza, Briana Baiza, Analiz Leyva, Adrian Leyva, Ramon David Nunez; his great grandchildren, Idiana Diaz, Alexandria Diaz, Rebecca Diaz, Jasenia Valdez, Aaron Acosta, Kiersten Zyla, Ali Nunez, Zane Leyva, Luke Hoesck, Taylor Hamrick, Aaron Nunez and Hector Sosa; and his great great grandchild, Ava Diaz.
David is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ramon Nunez; his daughter, Rebecca Nunez-Baiza; his brothers, Johnny Nunez, Nino Nunez; his sisters, Maria Subia, Rachel Rodriguez, Gloria Gomez, Alicia Duarte; his grandchild, Dominic Avila.
Visitation will be on Monday May 1st, 2017, from 12-7pm and Tuesday May 2nd, 2017 from 9-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. The Rosary will begin at 7pm on Tuesday May 2nd, 2017. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017, beginning at 10:30am at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
