Dora Alvarado

Dora Naranjo Alvarado was called home by our heavenly father on November 06,2022.  Dora was born in Beeville, Texas on December 20, 1937 to Francisco Naranjo and to Olivia Gutierrez.

Dora met the love of her life Benito Alvarado Sr. and were married April 30, 1955.  Together they raised a beautiful family of 11 children.  Dora worked alongside her husband and children in the farming fields.  She would drive the big tractor trailers while her children would load the hay bales onto the trailer.  While doing so Dora would teach her children how to count using the task of loading the hay.

Dora is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Oliva, husband Benito, and brother Frank.

Dora is survived by her sons Tony Alvarado, Benny Alvarado, Bobby Wayne Alvarado, Joseph Alvardo, Thomas Alvarado, David Alvarado, Chris Alvarado: daughters Mary Jean Sullivan, Rose Wiseman, Teresa Manchan. As well as 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 2:00pm – 7:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home of the big bend 301 N. Main Fort Stockton, Texas 79735. Recitation of rosary will be November 10, 2022, at 7:00pm.  Graveside service will be November 11, 2022, at 10:00am at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
