Dorothy Lentz

Dorothy (Dot) Marie Hallford Lentz went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016. She joins the love of her life, her husband, Robert (Ace) Lee Lentz, whom she met when she was a telephone operator and he worked for the telephone company. They married on December 8, 1949 in Fort Stockton. Ace proceeded her in death in 2006.
Dot was born on April 9, 1930, to Howell Currie and Annie Webb Hallford in Fort Stockton. She lived in Fort Stockton until 2001 when she moved to Odessa. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Fort Stockton.
Dot is survived by her sons Bryan Lentz and wife Jody of Sherman, Robert (Bobby) Lentz Jr. and wife Linda of Kermit, Larry Lentz and wife Lisa of Austin, and her daughter Linda Lentz Mazoch and husband Michael of Heath. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melanie Lowe and husband Sam of Georgetown, Katie Lentz of Round Rock, Liberty Neal and husband Bill of Houston, Jacob Lentz and wife Ryan of Victoria, Victoria Ginavan and husband Todd of Houston, Justin Sprick of Fort Worth, James Lentz of Austin, and Amy Lentz of Austin. She is also survived by her sister Betty Hallford Henslee and husband Ira Lee of Fort Stockton, her brother Currie and wife Karen of Georgetown, and her sister-in-law Margaret Hallford of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Dot is preceded in death by her parents: Howell Currie and Annie Hallford of Fort Stockton and her brother, Albert Hallford of Fredericksburg.
Dot was a wonderfully loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to us all. She had a tremendous love for the Lord and lived her life with great love and care for everyone.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
