Dorothy Rowe

June 10, 1931 — July 18, 2018

Dorothy Belle Rowe of Fort Stockton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the age of 87 years. She was born on June 10, 1931, in Centreville, Mississippi, to Troy Lee and Winnie Alta McKey.

Dorothy was raised a farmer's daughter in Mississippi. In 1952, she married her husband, Dewey. She was and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She spent her life serving God as amissionary and nurse in South America and Mexico. She loved to share her faith in Jesus Christ. She encouraged countless others to explore the gospel and accept the Lord as their Savior. She was a friend to all who knowe her and will be greatly missed by many.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters; Alta (Newton) Green, Jane (Gene) Diaz, brother; Troy Lee McKey Jr., sisters; Estelle (Tate) McGhee, Trudy Pemberton, grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Hall, Phillip (Stefanie) Rowe, Denver (Adrianna) Freeman, Christopher Green, and great-grandchildren; Zoe Rowe, Phillip Rowe Jr., Logan Freeman, Luke Freeman, and Caraline Freeman.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Dewey Hobson Rowe, parents; Troy Lee and Winnie Alta McKey, sister; Tessie Davis, brother-in-law; Walter Davis, and sister-in-law; Sandra McKey.

John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 5pm- 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 10am at North Side Baptist Church in Fort Stockton, Texas, with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Sanderson, Texas, at 1pm.
