Edna Niver

Edna Mae Niver of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the age of 81 years. She was born on August 10, 1937 in New Jersey, to Joseph and Hannah Dennison.
Edna was a homemaker, she loved birds and her cat Hurricane deeply. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed her online games and multiple friends she made along the way. She was a people person and everyone she came into contact became instant family. She was a big jokester and loved to laugh. Every time she went to the store, she would see how many people she could meet which became a jokeful competition among family. The list could go on and on… she will be missed.
Edna is survived by her sons, Michael Gilbert and Maria of Fort Stockton, Billy Gilbert and Jessica of New Jersey, Wayne Gilbert of Fort Stockton, Matthew Gilbert Castro and Lucia of Fort Stockton; her daughters, Johanna Wright and Dwayne of New Jersey, Cynthia Gilbert of Galveston; her sister, Janet of New Jersey; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Hannah Dennison; her husband, Ed Niver; her sons, Eddie Gilbert, Jeff Gilbert, Johnny Gilbert; her brother, Bobby Dennison; her sisters, Ethel, Susie, Mary Jane, Hannah Mae, Vernie; and one grandchild.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 6 pm in Fort Stockton, Texas.
