Elidia was a lifelong resident of Fort Stockton, Texas. She met the love of her life, Jesse, while they were in high school. Elidia and Jesse were married on September 1,1972 and have been together over 50 years. After graduation, Elidia attended Sul Ross State University and began her career at the courthouse. She found her work home at Fort Stockton ISD in various positions at the high school. She started in the library as an aide then transitioned to the counselor's office where she was there for over twenty years. During this time, she assisted students with class rankings, college applications, and scholarship applications. Eventually she landed a position as the principal's secretary where she shined. She loved her job, going above and beyond. While working there she made friendships that were lasting and too many to mention. Elidia and Jesse have three daughters, Vanessa, Amanda, and Sarah. As the girls grew Elidia had them involved in many activities with academic and sports being high priorities. The girls became involved in tee ball which led Elidia to convince Jesse to coach their teams. Elidia loved to organize and was involved with whatever the girls were doing. Elidia had numerous hobbies which included sewing-from making her own clothes to quillos for her family. She had a big heart for animals and donated to charities for them frequently. Elidia was known by her friends and family as a wonderful cook and baker. She would bake biscochos and deliver them in cookie tins or mason jars to people. Her grandchildren have been known to stash them, so they didn't have to share. After retirement from the school district Elidia enjoyed traveling. She loved going to spend time with her daughters and their families. Jesse and Elidia would take long weekend trips together just to enjoy cruising to George Strait on the radio, her favorite country singer. Other activities Elidia enjoyed were going out on her daughter's boats, garage selling with her son-in-laws, and having yearly girls weekend trips with her daughters. Elidia was preceded in death by her parents, Eliseo and Mauricia Carrillo, and brother Elijio Carrillo. She is survived by her husband Jesus Ramirez Blanco, oldest daughter Vanessa Campo of Abilene with husband Sam, grandchildren Joseph and Arabella. Middle daughter Amanda Martin of Aledo with husband Michael, grandchildren Bailey and Brayden. Youngest daughter Sarah Cantu of Snyder with grandchildren Caleb and Colton. Other family members include four older siblings, nieces and nephews.
