Erica Ornelas

Erica Jane Ornelas passed away Monday, September 2nd, 2019, at the age of 40 years. She was born on January 29, 1979 to Ricky Pacheco Baiza and Rebecca Sue Nunez in Fort Stockton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother Rebecca Sue Nunez, father Ricky Pacheco Baiza, maternal grandfather, David Nunez, Sr.

Erica is survived by her husband, Freddy Ornelas; her maternal grandmother Otilia Nunez; son Christopher Ornelas of Odessa, Texas; daughters Idiana Diaz-Perez and spouse Dekkota of Odessa, Texas, Alexandria Diaz of Fort Stockton, Texas, Rebecca Diaz of Fort Stockton, Texas, Rozlynn Licon and spouse Jonathan Trevino of Odessa, Texas, Janelle Ornelas and spouse Jordan Hernandez of Odessa, Texas, and Desiree Garcia of Odessa, Texas. Sisters include, Celina B. Armendariz and husband, Gabriel Armendariz of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Briana Ramos and husband Ramsey Ramos of Fort Stockton, Texas. Grandchildren include Ava Perez, Chayton Perez, Rhaelynn Perez, Jayce Ornelas Hernandez, Aydan Trevino, Noah Trevino, Izaiah Licon, Azayla Curry, Aaliyah Trevino, Elijah Curry, Caleb Thompson, Bastian Licon, and Xander Garcia.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She was the life of the party and could make anyone laugh. She had the right advice for the right moments. She was a fighter and fought till the very end. She will always be our inspiration and we can only hope, that one day, we will be as strong as she was.

Visitation and will held from 1PM- 7PM, on Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home, 301 N. Main, Fort Stockton, Texas. Services will be held at 10AM on Friday, September 6th, 2019, at Our Lady of the Guadalupe, Downtown Campus, Fort Stockton, Texas formerly known as St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
