Erundina P. Garcia of Fort Stockton passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in Odessa at the age of 85 years. She was born on July 23, 1932, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Carlos Pina and Sofia Sarabia Pina. She liked to travel with her husband Raymond and her family. She was very active in her church, Saint Agnes, where she taught CCE and was a Communion Minister. She was a presider in absence of a priest on several occasions. She was a member of the church choir and a Guadalupana. She loved cooking for her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved singing and all the holidays, but especially Christmas.
Erundina is survived by her husband, Raymond R. Garcia Sr.; two sons, Raymond R. Garcia Jr. of Odessa, Carlos Ray Garcia of Las Vegas; three daughters, Felicita Garcia of Odessa, Rebecca Garcia Carrillo of Mc Camey, Lorina Garcia Urias of Odessa; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Librada Pina, Fransisca Gonzales, and Prisilliana Gonzales.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 1st, 2017, from 11-7pm with rosary beginning at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017, beginning at 10:30am at Saint Joseph Church in Fort Stockton, Texas with Father Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
