Flora Franco

Flora R. Franco, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

The visitation will be on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 12:00pm – 8:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735. Rosary will be Friday December 17, 2022, at 7:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend.

Flora was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Vicente and Esperanza Reyes on September 10, 1945.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, Natividad L. Franco, daughter Norma Jean Franco, daughter in law Lisa Franco, sister Elvira Rangel, and her brother Joel Reyes.

Flora was a lifelong native of Fort Stockton, Texas and was happiest being outdoors.  She could often be found watering her grass and tending to her rose bushes and garden.  The simplest pleasures in life such as hummingbirds and Spanish pastries brought her the greatest joy.  Flora also had quiet inner strength and never complained despite her numerous obstacles.  Flora’s greatest love was always her loving family.

She is survived by her 9 children: Elsa Franco, Elisa Flores (Alfredo), Mario Franco (Angela), Alfredo Franco (Ruth), Robert Franco (Lorena), Virginia Banda (Joaquin), Edward Franco, Anna Franco (Tim Gregory), and Richard Franco. Her 20 grandchildren: Chris Franco, Mari Franco, Adriana Franco (Jazmine), Brandon Banda, Andrew Franco (David), Adrian Banda, Melissa Franco, Alexandria Franco (Daniel), Eric Gregory, Diana Pacheco, Matthew, Daniel and Jonathan Flores, Santiago Franco (DeAndra), Elayna Franco, Isaac Lopez, Cheyenne Hall (Kramer), Tristan Reyes, Natalie and Kaylee Franco and her 19 great grandchildren: Jaden, Jordan, Jonathan, Jace and Blaze Franco, Christian and MariaElena Valenzuela, Maribel and Myrella Acosta, Chanelle Prieto, Larissa and Cain Flores, Azalea Franco, Dylan Franco, Isaac Noel Lopez, Mason Franco, Riley, Luke and Allie Hall. Her brothers and sisters:  Hector Reyes (Josie), Angie Rubio (Wally), Javier Reyes (Jennifer), Joe Reyes (Angelina), Mary Brunson (Tito) and Elizabeth Ramos (Arturo).

Flora touched many lives and will truly be missed.  Her loved ones will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Historic St. Joseph in Fort Stockton, Texas.  A burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery arranged by Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Branda, Andrew Franco, Adrian Banda, Eric Gregory, Santiago Franco, Jaden Franco, Jordan Franco, Tristan Reyes, and Jonathan Franco.
