Francisco Salazar Montoya Sr. of Fort Stockton passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, January 4, 2018, in Fort Stockton at the age of 78 years. He was born on November 5, 1939, in Mulato Ojinaga Chihuahua Mexico to Ignacio Montoya and Teodora Salazar.
Francisco is survived by his wife, Juliana Lopez Montoya; his sons, Francisco Montoya Jr. and wife Yolanda of Wasco, California, Cruz Salazar and wife Mandy of Monahans; his daughters, Angelita Ramos and husband Rogelio of Fort Stockton, Araceli Montoya and Rene Castillo of Fort Stockton, Sandra Montoya and German De La Rosa of Fort Stockton; his brothers, Apolonio Montoya of Fort Stockton, Juan Daniel Salazar and wife Lourdes of Mulato Ojinaga Chihuahua; his sisters, Manuela Valenzuela and husband Ramon of Kermit, Ramona Alvardo and husband Efrain of Presidio; his seventeen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Montoya and Teodora Salazar; his brothers, Gonzalo Montoya, Dolores Montoya; and his sister, Carolina Ortiz.
Pallbearers are: Francisco Montoya Jr., Cruz Salazar, Rogelio Ramos Jr., Armando Francisco Reyes III, Alejandro Guadalupe Reyes, and Roberto Melendez III.
Visitation will be on Saturday and Sunday, January 6th & 7th, 2018, from 11-9pm with rosary on Sunday, January 7th, beginning at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 8th, 2018, beginning at 1:00pm at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
