Guadalupe Hernandez

Guadalupe "Lupita" Hernandez of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday February 12th, 2017, in Fort Stockton at the age of 76 years. She was born on December 3, 1940, being raised by Maria and Juan Gudino in Fort Stockton, Texas. She married Jose H. Hernandez on March 13, 1959 in Fort Stockton, where they made their home. Lupita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She fiercely loved her family and was always grateful for the small things in life and took everything in stride. She will be greatly missed and forever in her family's hearts.
Lupita is survived by her husband, Jose of Fort Stockton, TX; her son, Jose Luis Hernandez of Grapevine, TX; her three daughters, Irma Taylor and husband Ernie of Midland, TX, Mary Pacheco and husband Alex of Fort Stockton, TX, Norma Quiroz of Fort Stockton, TX; her nine grandchildren, Joshua Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, Rebekah Hernandez, Monica Toller, Nicole Spence, Jessica Pacheco, Brian Pacheco, Dadrienne Quiroz, Darien Quiroz; her three step-grandchildren, Dacey Ramirez, Timothy Tayor, Jeffrey Taylor; her nine great grandchildren, Nathan, Kyleigh, Callie, Leah, Ellie, Ezra, Max, Logan, Alicia; and her two step-great grandchildren, Chloe, Romeo.
Lupita is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, from 11-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Rosary will begin at 7pm. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017, at 10:00am at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
