Henry Cartwright

Henry Lee Cartwright passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Fort Stockton, Texas, at the age of 76. He was born on November 25, 1942, in Cushing, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lula Mae Hughes Cartwright. He was preceded in death by his father L.C. Cartwright and mother Martha White; brothers James Ross and Charles Cartwright; sister Hazel Haynes; daughter Erica Jeannette Cartwright; granddaughter Brittany Cartwright.

He is survived by his sons Kenneth Cartwright and wife, Christine of Kermit, Texas, Robert Lee Cartwright and wife, Kristine of Syracuse, Kansas; daughters, Patsy Ann Cartwright and Sarah Jane Cartwright of Fort Stockton, Texas; brother, Roy Lee Cartwright; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Henry was a very kind and generous person who never met any strangers. He would talk to anyone and could make you laugh even if you were sad or upset. He loved his grandkids and would talk to them as if they were grown. He loved to collect knives, sit outside, and watch the cars go by. He always told stories from his childhood where he grew up in East Texas.

Graveside services will be held at the East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas, at 2PM on Monday, October 28th, 2019.
