Ida C. Casias of Fort Stockton passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018, in Plano, Texas at the age of 74 years. She was born on December 2, 1943 in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Macedonio Carrillo and Candelaria Montez.
Ida is survived by her sons; Danny Diaz and wife Misty of Fort Stockton, Paul Casias and wife Norma of Fort Stockton, Manuel Casias and wife Norma of Fort Stockton, Michael Casias of Midland, Ralph Casias of Fort Stockton, Jimmy Casias of Fort Stockton, daughters; Rosie Varela and husband Steve of Odessa, Melissa Castillo and Emmanuel of Odessa, Christina Cital and husband Eddie of Odessa, brother; Adam Carrillo, sisters; Melinda Badillo, 26 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents; Macedonio Carrillo and Candelaria Montez, daughter; Kathryn Ramos formally of Fort Stockton, brothers; Alfredo Carrillo and Homar Carrillo, sister; Gloria Aguilar.
Ida was a phenomenal woman, she had a heart of gold. Everyone who met her was lucky to get the chance to know such a great person. She had this beautiful smile that was contagious as soon as you saw her. She was a sweet lady who would help anyone with no questions asked. Ida positively impacted everyone who was fortunate enough to have been in her life. Ida was a member of Church of Christ, which she devoted her time to our mighty Lord. She worked hard and never gave up her dreams. Ida was the type of person who set their mind to do something and would do everything she could to accomplish her goal. Ida was a member of Alpha Chi Sorority, and graduated from Sul-Ross University with a bachelor's of Arts degree. Ida was a gift sent from heaven, and we will cherish her memories forever.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 12pm-8pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Church of Christ at 10 am in Fort Stockton, burial to follow at East Hill Cemetery.
