John Dudley J.D. McIntyre, age 73, passed away Monday, June 10 2013. J. D. was born on January 18, 1940 in Pecos, Texas and spent most of his lifetime in Fort Stockton. J. D. was a mutifaceted man: cowboy, rancher, outdoorsman and an expert marksman. One of his greatest passions was his heart for needy children. He was committed to helping underprivileged children with clothing and other necessities. He was active in several community organizations, including the JayCees, Eagles and Sheriffs Posse. John is survived by his wife Judy McIntyre his son John Wayne McIntyre wife Sherry 2 brothers, Kenneth Wayne McIntyre and wife Patricia and Jack Wade and Kathy McIntyre one sister, Brigette McIntyre Stapp and husband Johnny by 7 grandchildren, Taylor, John Wesley and Rebecca, Cadence, Joseph, Meagan, Rebecca greatgrandchildren, J. D. was preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Ruth Waddell McIntyre and by a son, Joe Lee McIntyre. Funeral Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. Burial will take place later at the family cemetery on McIntyre Ranch at 12 noon.
