Josephine Gonzales

Josephine N. Gonzales ,74 , died on Friday, October 31st 2014. She was born on September, 18, 1940 in Fort Stockton to her parents Pilar and Gregoria Gonzales who preceded her in death.

Her beloved sister, Maria Gonzales of Ft. Stockton, also precedes her in death. She is survived by her sister Margarita Barrera of Ft. Stockton, Texas and her brother Roy N. Gonzales and wife, Olga from El Paso, by her nieces Melissa and Christine, her nephews Javier and Cesar, great nieces Alexis an Lauryn, great nephews Adrian and Avery.

Josephine was a deeply respected and admired retired teacher from Apache Elementary School and Ft. Stockton Independent School District. Josie was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. For many years, she was involved with CCD classes, First Communion and Confirmation groups. She was also an active member of the Guadalupanos church group. Additionally she belonged to the St. Agnes funeral meal committee and retired teacher group, Texas Retired Teachers Association.

A Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home from 12 noon till 7pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 with Rosary following at 7pm. Funeral service will be held at Saint Agnes Catholic Church at 3pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 wit Deacon Danny Holguin officiating. Internment will be at the Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery.
