Julia Mcintyre

Julia Patterson Deerfield McIntyre, of Fort Stockton, passed away Thursday December 17th, 2015, in McCamey at the age of 76 years. Julia was born on July 15th, 1939, to Haywood Comet Patterson and Idell Ocie Guthrie in Fort Stockton.
Julia grew up on a ranch and had always loved the ranch lifestyle. She loved gardening and being with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Stockton for many years. She also served as the county clerk for a number of years.

Julia is survived by her three sons, Ronnie Cates and wife Tricia of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff Cates of Austin, and Doug Cates of Forest City, NC; her two brothers, Stanley Patterson of Clovis, NM, and Bob Patterson of El Paso; her sister, Geneva Niver and husband Alan of Kittery, Maine; and four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Dudley McIntyre; her brother, LH Patterson, and sister, Linda Sue Turner.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 21st, 2015 from 9-10a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in downtown Fort Stockton. Funeral service will take place at 10a.m., December 21st, 2015, at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Burial will follow at the McIntyre Ranch in Coyanosa.
