Luciano Rascon

Luciano “Chano” Gomez Rascon, 85, of Fort Stockton, died Friday, December 25, 2020 in Odessa, Texas. He was born January 7, 1935 in Fort Stockton to Liborio and Estefana Rascon.
He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army in February 1958. He married Dora Elia Baiza on April 1958, in Ft. Stockton. He worked at Campbell Electric, Terrazas Furniture, then started his own business called Chano’s Electric. He liked to repair the broken, regardless of what it was. He loved to provide anything that his wife asked for – anything. Chano was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he volunteered his labor to rewire parts of the church building, cooking meals for funeral services, and served as Eucharist Minister. During his retirement years he operated a Concession stand at local and area festivals. His family enjoyed his cooking skills in the kitchen and on the outside grill.
He was preceded in death by his parents Liborio Madril Rascon and Estefana Gomez Rascon; Brothers Antonio Rascon, Domingo Rascon, Hipolito Rascon; Sisters Viviana Mejia, Adislada Gutierrez, Meregilda Carrasco, Fernanda Thompson, and Candida Salcido.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Dora Elia Rascon, his son Gilbert Rascon (wife Yolanda), his daughter Leticia Bernal (husband Salvador), daughter Lisa Soliz (husband Rick); Granddaughters Veronica Rascon, Elizabeth Jimenez (husband Edwin), Jessica Bernal, Jennifer Bernal; Grandson Ricky Ryan Soliz; Great-grandson Gabriel Isaiah Jimenez; and Great-granddaughter Natalie Grace Jimenez. He is also survived by Brothers-in-law Jessie Baiza, Candelario Baiza, Rogelio Baiza, Ramiro Baiza and many nieces and nephews who respected and adored their Tio/Uncle.

The visitation will be held at 2:00pm – 4:00pm, December 31, 2020, at Heritage Funeral Home.
