Magdalena Fabela

Magdalena "Nena" Fabela was born on April 21, 1935 to Sesario Mesa and Alejandra Molina in Fort Stockton, Texas. Nena loved to dance and was full of life. You could find her listening to her favorite group, Los Jilgeros, while getting ready to head out. She loved to crochet and sew handmade blankets and quilts for her family to keep warm. She had lots of good friends and cherished their time drinking coffee and catching up. She had a large collection of dolls and angels. She worked as the bookkeeper for the family business, Fabela's Concrete.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Francisco Fabela, her son Eduardo Fabela and wife Elodia of Fort Stockton Texas, son George Fabela and wife Elida of Fort Stockton Texas, daughter Rosario Terrazas and husband Ruben of Midland Texas, daughter Mary Cabezuela and husband Orlando of San Angelo Texas, daughter Leticia Fabela of Fort Stockton Texas, and her eldest sister Paula Mesa Majeno of Oxnard California. She had 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 3 Great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sesario Mesa and Alejandra Molina, her son Francisco "Frisco" Fabela Jr., four brothers; Juan Manuel Mesa, Manuel Mesa, Sesario Mesa, and Octarvio Mesa, her two sisters; Candelaria Mesa and Ignacia "Nacho" Perales, and her dear aunt Barbarita Gonzales.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 28 and 29 at Heritage Funeral Home in downtown Fort Stockton. Rosary will follow visitation on Wednesday 29 at 7pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday morning, 10:30 a.m., at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton. Honorary pallbearer is Luis Pi�on. Pallbearers include; Israel Terrazas, Ruben Terrazas Jr., George Andrew Fabela, Eloy Fabela, Javier Fabela, Edward Fabela Jr. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
