Maria Benavides

Maria Hernandez Benavides of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016, in Fort Stockton at the age of 82 years. Maria was born on February 8, 1934, to Lucio Hernandez and Eduarda Elizondo Adame in La Boquilla de San Isidro, Chihuahua, Mexico. She worked as a stay at home wife.
Maria is survived by her husband, Jesus Morales Benavides.; her nine children, Guadalupe and wife Mary Lou of Fort Stockton, Lili Ureste and husband Alvino of Fort Stockton, Maria Elena Flores and husband Danny of Odessa, Jesus Benavides and wife Regina of Fort Stockton, Armida Cardona and husband Tello of Fort Stockton, Maria Benavides of Odessa, Betty Tavarez and husband Ernest of Fort Stockton, Ariana Ramos of Odessa, and Jessica Muniz and husband Marcos of Midland; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lucio Hernandez and Eduarda Elizondo Adame; her son, Jose Benavides; her daughter, Juanita Benavides; her brother, Israel Hernandez; sister, Eutemia Hernandez and grandson, Guadalupe Benavides Jr.
Pallbearers will be Uriel Ureste, Alvino Ureste, Erik Ureste, Randy Ramos, Ernest Tavarez, Danny Flores, Fernando Dominguez, Tello Cardona, and Marcos Muniz.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, March 29-31, 2016, from 11a.m. to 8p.m. at Iglesia Triunfo De La Fe in Fort Stockton. The funeral service will take place on Friday afternoon, April 1st, 2016, starting at 2:00 p.m., at Iglesia Triunfo De La Fe, 606 North Colpitts, Fort Stockton, TX, 79735. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
