Maria Galindo

Maria "Susie" Galindo of Fort Stockton passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, in Fort Stockton at the age of 68 years. She was born on July 8, 1949, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Jose Ortega Sr. and Alejandra Ortega.

Her passion was being a florist, the town knew her for her creative work. Her family will greatly remember her for her wittiness, she set the law taking off her "chancla" making it known you were going to listen and obey, and let's not forget her red nails. Overall she was a remarkable woman that will be greatly missed by many

Susie is survived by her son; Jose A Galindo of Fort Stockton, daughter; Janette Ruiz of Fort Stockton; sisters, Alicia Natividad, Amelia Renteria; and 8 grandchildren; Lee Andra Quintela, Dee Andra Quintela, Jonathon Galindo, Jose Alfonso Galindo Jr., Molly Baeza, Tristan Dominguez, Xavier Martinez, and Alitze Munoz.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Trinidad Galindo, parents; Jose Ortega Sr. and Alejandra Ortega, and brother; Joe Ortega Jr.


Memorial Services will be on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas
