Maria Garcia

Maria Elia Garcia entered into rest on April 8, 2021. She was born in San Francisco Del Oro, Mexico on August 23, 1957, to Emilio and Evangelina Herrera.
Maria grew up in Maijoma, Mexico where she would go to school. She helped out at the ranch, later on moved to Ojinaga where she continued her education. She met the love of her life, Jesus Manuel Garcia got married in Ojinaga, Mexico. She later moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where their first-born Jesus Abdiel Garcia was born. She later moved to Presidio, Texas where their second child Edith Garcia was born. She relocated to Fort Stockton, Texas where Lizeth Garcia and Maria Manuela Garcia were Born and Made Fort Stockton their hometown. Maria worked for Nurses Unlimited and nursing home many years ago. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking. But most of all she adored and loved her kids and grandkids were her everything. She had a heart of gold.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Emilio Herrera; son, Jesus Abdiel Garcia; Maria Manuela Garcia.
Maria is survived by her husband, Jesus Manuel Garcia; mother, Evangelina Herrera; daughters, Edith Garcia and Abimael Bernal of Fort Stockton, Lizeth Garcia and husband Juan Romero of Fort Stockton; brother, Camilo Garcia and wife Hilda Garcia of Odessa; sisters, Maria de Jesus Herrera Acosta and husband Alvaro Acosta of Odessa, Luz Elena Garcia Holguin of Mexico, Judith Garcia Holguin of Mexico; grandchildren, Emilio Alejandro Garcia, Luis Antonio Bernal, Juan Abdiel Garcia Romero, Averie Marie Garcia, Heaven Leigh Bernal, Nevaeh Leigh Bernal, Jacobi Rae Bernal.
The visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Campus. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
