Maria Sanchez Urias passed away Friday, May 10 at the age of 85. She was born on September 3, 1927 to Daniel and Teresa Sanchez in Fort Stockton. Maria Urias was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. So many people have been blessed because of her. Maria was a pillar of strength and the lessons that she leaves us are irreplaceable. She taught us to love unconditionally, give endlessly, fight for all things important, and much much more, but above all she instilled in everyone a love for God. It is because of her faith, that we are people of faith and that is legacy that will live on forever. There are truly no words honorable enough to describe her spirit. She was a precious gift from God that we are all extremely grateful to have received. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed immensely.
