Matthew Lee Quiroz of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Midland, TX, at the age of 10 years old. Matthew was born on June 17, 2005 in Fort Stockton, TX.
Matthew was a very joyful and loving child. He loved life and cared about people. There were many things that Matthew enjoyed doing such as: Collecting Superheroes, especially Batman, which he got to meet recently, reading comic books provided by the Wounded Warrior Comics sponsored by Luis Martinez, playing video games, watching basketball (Go Spurs!), playing and watching baseball (Go Rockhounds and Texas Rangers!), swimming, visiting the beach, watching movies, and dancing. Matthew was real sweet, but he was a prankster too! His wishes came true when he went with his family to Disney World, LEGOLAND, WWE, and Universal Studios. Matthew was honored to be part of the Honorary Fort Stockton Firefighters. Most of all he loved to "chill out" and watch his brothers and sisters play. Matthew's indestructible faith and unwavering love for God was immeasurable. He asked to receive Jesus in Communion frequently and always prayed fervently.
Matthew is survived by his father, Frank Joseph Quiroz of Odessa; his mother, Violeta Deana Cano of Fort Stockton; his brothers, Andre John Quiroz and Carter Joseph Quiroz; and sisters, Lilly Nadine Quiroz and Aubrey Nicole Quiroz; his grandparents Isaac Chavez and Yolanda Chavez; grandfather, Frank Quiroz; his great grandmother Yolanda Baeza; his great-grandparents, Frank and Rosalinda Quiroz;his uncles, Isaac Matthew Chavez, Justin Quiroz, Joshua Quiroz, and Jacob Quiroz.
