Myriam Gonzalez Lopez, 88, of Fort Stockton, passed away on July 21st. 2022. She was born to Donciano and Adela Gonzalez in Saginaw, Michigan, on August 27th, 1933. She married Adolph Lopez in Chicago, Illinois. While living there, she worked as a bookkeeper for Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
In the 80's, she and her husband moved to San Antonio, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Cavender's Oldsmobile. After the death of her husband (54yrs.), in 2005, she became a Dance Ambassador, with an organization called "Dance Therapy, Dance Your Depression Away!" Myriam eventually moved to Fort Stockton to be close to her family. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist
Church, the church's Ladies' Bible Study and worked as a Pink Lady at Pecos County Memorial Hospital. In addition to dancing, she loved horses and enjoyed the time she got to ride them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donciano and Adela, her husband, Adolph, her two brothers, George and Richard and her sister, Yolanda. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Warren, and granddaughter, Dulcia Warren.
A memorial service will be held for Myriam on Saturday, September 17th, at 11:00 am at Immanuel Baptist Church (709 N. St. Gall Street).
