Ophelia D. Calderon entered into rest on March 14, 2021. She was born on April 3, 1926, to Pedro and Guadalupe Dominguez.
She was wonderful, beautiful, brilliant. In her life she was a beautician, a great seamstress, and best cook ever. She was a greatest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife. She traveled to several states, Europe, Rome, Italy, and the Bahamas. She loved dancing with her group and pencil coloring, and she was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She loved her family and was a woman of faith that loved the Lord.
Ophelia is preceded in death by her son, Ray Calderon.
Ophelia is survived by her husband, Nestor Calderon; her daughter, Lucy Spurgeon and husband Ron; her son, Nestor Calderon Jr. and wife Tamara; her brother, Juan Dominguez; her sisters, Tomasa Rey, Alicia Hernandez, Gloria Byrd, Lollie Whitehead; eight grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Campus. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
