Ramon Diaz, born on August 31, 1949, in Sanderson, Texas, passed away peacefully in Fort Stockton, Texas, on September 1, 2024. He was known for his dedication to his work, having served as a plant operator at the Gomez plant until his retirement in 2014.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on September 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas. A Rosary will follow on the same day beginning at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on September 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church,403 S. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas with burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Ramon's early education took him to Fort Stockton, Texas where he graduated from high school in 1970. In1967, he and his family relocated to Fort Stockton, Texas a community that remained a vital part of his life. His career at the Gomez plant was marked by a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, Ramon enjoyed a variety of hobbies that showcased his zest for life. He found joy in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature. An avid boxing fan, he spent many evenings engrossed in the sport. His love for family was evident, as he cherished moments spent with loved ones, often sharing funny jokes and pranks that brought laughter to those around him. Additionally, he had a passion for cooking outdoors, further solidifying the bond he shared with family during gatherings.

Ramon is survived by his sons, Raymond Diaz and Robert Diaz; his siblings, Delma Lopez, Rosa Carillo, and Eugene Diaz; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Diaz, and his mother, Angelita Diaz.

Ramon Diaz will be remembered for his warm spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and his passion for life. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
