Raymond Jurado

Raymond Tarango Jurado " Crazy Ray" of Imperial, Texas passed away Sunday May 13th, 2018, in Imperial, Texas at the age of 69 years. He was born on December 20, 1949 in Candelaria, Texas to Trinidad Jurado and Olivia Tarango.
Raymond was a man of many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and breaking horses for horse races. He enjoyed cook out on his famous smoker. He was loved by many as there was never a dull moment with him around. He enjoyed telling crazy jokes and a great game of dominoes, washers and pool in the company of his friends and family. He was a generous man, whether it be his time, money or advice. A self-employed welder and a very well-known back hoe operator.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rosa Contreras Jurado,; sons, JoRay Jurado from San Antonio TX., LeeRoy Jurado and wife Dawn of Imperial Texas, Raymond Jurado Jr. of Monahans TX and Leonel Jurado and wife Jeannie of San Elizaro, TX.; daughters, Diandra and husband Cruz Gomez of Imperial TX., Debra Sherwood of Imperial TX., Delilah and husband Jesus "Hazel" Mercado of Alpine, TX. And Rose and husband Bruce Martinez of Imperial, TX.; brothers, Manuel T. Jurado of Imperial Texas , Jose T. Jurado and Olga of Imperial Texas, Juan T. Shine and wife Diane Jurado of Odessa TX.; Sisters Hortencia "Techa" and husband Timothy " Tim" Olivas of Fort Stockton, TX, Elipedia Jurado of Fort Stockton TX, and Delma Jurado of Odessa TX. His 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 11 am - 7 pm with rosary beginning at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton Texas. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, beginning at 10:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas with Father Serafin officiating. Burial will follow at Imperial Cemetery.
