Rosa Jurado

Rosa Contreras Jurado, 73, of Imperial, Texas gained her angels wings on September 20, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation for Ms. Jurado will be from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend Chapel on Sunday, September 26, 2021, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, September 27, 2021, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ft. Stockton, Texas. Burial to follow at Imperial Cemetery.
Rosa was born in Pecos, Texas to Victor Contreras and Dominga Fuentes on May 9, 1948. She attended Pecos High School. She married Raymond T. Jurado on August 17, 1968. She worked as a CNA for Crane Nursing Home, where she truly enjoyed caring for her patients. Rosa was an active Catholic Church member in her community.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Contreras and Dominga Fuentes; brother, Markus Contreras; and great granddaughter, Kimber Rain Brandenburg.
Rosa is survived by her sons, Joray Jurado (Neal Wickwire), Raymond Jurado (Veronica), Leroy Jurado; daughters, Diandra Gomez (Cruz), Debra Sherwood (Jeff), Delilah Mercado (Jesus), Rosemarie Jurado (fiancé, Ismael Franco); 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, numerous family members and friends.
Pallbearers are as follows: Cruz Gomez, Jesus Mercado, Ismael Franco, Neal Wickwire, Jake Contreras, and Jeff Nicholson.
The family of Ms. Rosa Jurado wishes to extend their utmost sincere thanks to the staff at Northwest Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Jade, Hospice care nurse out of San Antonio, Texas, and the Contreras family for the Casket Spray and boutonnieres.
