Sondra Bynum

Sondra Jean Bynum, age 90, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away peacefully at home on September 06, 2024. 

Sondra was married to Kenneth Bynum on February 18, 1955. Together they had five children and many wonderful grandchildren. Sondra dedicated her life to God and her family. She loved serving at Immanual Baptist Church through playing the piano for services, teaching, singing, feeding loved ones or just visiting. She returned to college late in life and graduated with her master’s degree in psychology from Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas when she was sixty-five and began a new career as counselor of WRTTC. She loved helping students be successful in school and in life as well. She was an inspiration to all who passed through her doors.

Sondra is survived by her children Gerald Kenneth Bynum Jr., wife Carrie, daughters Leah an Megan; Thomas Kent Bynum, wife Carolyn, children Robbie and Mandy Matthews, Jordan and Jaylee, Robyn DeVivo, and daughters Camryn, Reagan, and Londyn; Kenda Beth Bynum Armstrong, husband Shameron Armstrong, children Guy Kennan and April McKee, Christian, Cloie and Brett, Mary Kenesa and James Hutchins, Kyler and Kenli; Kay Lynn Bynum Griffith, husband Ray Griffith, children Raymon and Carley Griffith, Morgan, Llana, Lila, Avery and Austin; Ryan and Jacob Lentz, children Kaylie, Orville and Clementine, and Anthony Perna; Howard and Suzanne Bynum, children Keith, Joni and Joli.

In lieu of flowers the family of Sondra would appreciate donations be made to Midland College WRTTC in remembrance.
