Dr. Sylvestre Doc Holguin, age 63, of Douglasville, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 3, 2014. He was born on June 4, 1951 in Crane, Texas, the son of the late Daniel Bernard Holguin and Ampro Subia Anaya, late wife of Joseph Sanders Anaya. He was a Registered Nurse for a number of years before earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine and served the citizens of Douglas and Cobb Counties as a Chiropractor for many years. He was a Catholic and attended St. Theresas Catholic Church in Douglasville.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cierra Holguin.
He is survived by his exwife, Jeanette Holguin, and their children, Jessica Holguin Armando Moncada of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jeremy Machelle Holguin of Douglasville, Georgia son, Ethan Holguin of Douglasville, Georgia sisters and brothersinlaw Amelia and Raymond Benavides, Annabelle and Frank McRae, and JoAnn and Stephen Frazier brothers and sistersinlaw, Daniel and Elma Holguin, Eduardo and Tirza Holguin, Rudy and Irma Holguin, and Samuel Holguin grandchildren, Ella Danielle Moncada, Jocelynne Holguin, and LilleiAna Holguin.
A Public Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 3:007:00 P.M. with Roary following at 7pm. A Funeral service will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014 with Father Serafin Avenido officiating.
