Tommy Joe Turner was born December 26, 1946 in Sanderson Texas to William Richard and Carrie Turner. His date of salvation was April 10, 1983 at 12:05 pm. He passed away on June 28, 2013 at the Fort Stockton Nursing Center in Fort Stockton, Texas. He attended school in Sanderson, and later worked for his brother, Jim Turner, and for the railroad there. Tommy drove trucks for different people for several years. He also worked as a ranch hand and did odd jobs for various people in Sanderson. He has made his home on the old Turner place for many years. He is survived by his brothers, Richard Lee Turner of Fort Stockton, Jim Turner of Uvalde, Lynn Dale Turner of Georgetown, and sisters, Janie Blackwelder of San Angelo and Nancy Ivy of Sealy children, Janet Turner Jones of Iraan, Macky Joe Turner and Ronnie Wayne Turner of Fort Stockton grandchildren, Emily Jone Hernandez of San Angelo, Jarratt Michael Turner, Mikaela Nicole Turner and Vanessa and Jace Turner of Fort Stockton great granddaughter, Brittleigh Claire Hernandez of San Angelo special friend, Gene Thompson and his daughter Raeline of Sanderson, and many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Carrie Marie Northcut of Fort Stockton, Texas. A visitation will be from 68pm Sunday June 30 at Heritage Funeral Home. On Monday, July 1, 2013 a second visitation will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church in Sanderson, Texas on his Funeral will follow at 11am.
