Valentin Gomez

Valentin V. Gomez of Fort Stockton passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, in Fort Stockton, Texas at the age of 81 years. He was born on February 14, 1937 in Mexico, to Miguel and Emeteria V. Gomez.

Valentin married Maria Del Rosario on January 18, 1959 in Mexico. He lived in Terrell County from 1954-1969 when he moved to Pecos County in 1969. He worked as a roustabout and in Belding Farms until his retirement in 2002.

Valentin is survived by his wife; Maria Del Rosario Gomez, sons; Valentin J Gomez Jr and wife Maria of Mertzon, Texas, Gavino J Gomez and wife Angie of Fort Stockton, daughters; Maria Elena Gomez of Fort Stockton, Yolanda Gomez and husband Francisco Ortega of Fort Stockton, Adriana G. Lopez and husband Vicente of Clovis, New Mexico, and Oralia G. Lopez and husband Jesus of Fort Stockton, 2 sisters, 20 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Emeteria V. Gomez, and son; Dimas J. Gomez.

Pallbearers are; Valentin Gomez III, Vicente M. Gomez, Victor T. Gomez, Valdomero A. Gomez, Diego J. Lopez, Miguel G. Lopez, Marcos A. Lopez, Dimas L. Gomez, Gavino O. Gomez, Nicholas Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are; Jesus V. Lopez, Vicente H. Lopez, and Francisco Ortega.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2pm-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas with Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Services will be Monday September 24, 2018 at St. Joseph's at 10 am in Fort Stockton, burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
