Wesley Munson

Wesley Vernon Munson Jr., 71 of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on January 17th, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Wesley was born in El Paso, Texas on July 05, 1951, to Wesley Vernon Munson Sr. and Esther Marie Collier.  Wesley was raised and attended school in Sanderson, Texas.  Wesley met the love of his life Shirley Gross at a church conference in Fort Worth, Texas in July of 1978.  After being rather bashful a short courtship began and they later married on November 11, 1978, in New Castle, Indiana.  Wesley worked all his life in the oil & gas industry.  Wesley was also known for painting signs and billboards around the Fort Stockton area.  Wesley loved BBQs, Mexican food, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents Wesley Vernon Munson Sr. and Esther Marie Collier.

Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Shirley, son Philip wife Michelle, daughter Hannah and son/grandson Jayden, grandchildren Patrick, Payton, Lincoln and AnaLee.

The pallbearers will be Philip Munson, Jayden Munson, Patrick Murphey, Randy Gross, Andrew Gross, and Eric Cooksey.

Visitation will be Friday, January 27th, 2023, from 12:00PM to 7:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735.  Funeral service will be Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at 9:00AM at the Apostolic Tabernacle 2601 W. 5th St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735.  Internment to follow at East Hill Cemetery Old Cemetery Rd. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735
